How Far Do You Walk?

The tour is about a 1-mile walk total. There is time to rest at each of the stops, but comfortable and weather appropriate shoes and attire are recommended.

Does The Price Include Food?

Accepted Answer

The price of this tour includes all food. If available you may purchase alcoholic beverages if you wish (bring a valid ID).

Does The Tour Include Alcohol?

Accepted Answer

Alcohol is not included in the price of the tour. If available, guests are welcome to purchase alcoholic beverages/cocktails (21 and over with a valid ID) at designated stops.

What Should I Wear?

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Please check the weather forecast ahead of time. The tour runs rain or shine.

Should I Tip The Tour Guide?

Tips are welcomed and appreciated. Should you decide to tip, guides accept cash and most have Venmo.

Can You Accommodate Those With Food Allergies?

While we can attempt to provide some options for certain food allergies, unfortunately at this time, we cannot fully accommodate those with food allergies or guarantee against cross contamination.

Yes, children are welcome as a paid participant.

What Should I Bring On The Tour?

Accepted Answer

Wear comfortable shoes, and clothing that’s weather-appropriate. Bring an appetite, and maybe an umbrella if rain is forecasted. And bring some cash to tip your tour guide if they are amazing!

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

Accepted Answer

If a registered tour guest cancels 24 hours or more prior to the tour, you will be refunded your full ticket fee. Any booking can be moved to another date, at no charge, if moved at least 24 hours prior to the tour. No refunds are issued within 24 hours of the start of your booked tour.

Iowa Food Tour reserves the right to cancel any of our tours if severe weather threatens; if the tour does not meet a minimum number of registered guests; or if there are any other unforeseen circumstances that would prevent the tour from running. In that case, all registered tour guests will receive a full refund for their ticket fees.

What Is Your Late Policy?

You are expected to arrive on time (or early). The tour guide will arrive 10-15 minutes before start time. The tour will start at the published start time. If you think you will be late, please contact us at 641-990-2789.
